Hi, I’m Flo!

I’m the mum behind the magic – the creator of magic and maker of memories for my two boys, Jett and Ace at our home in Buckinghamshire.

I have been a Buckinghamshire-based influencer for over ten years now, but motherhood has really helped me come into my own. I’ve always had a reputation among friends and family for being ‘extra’, or ‘over the top’. I remember sneaking around the house in the early hours of Halloween morning as a 12 year old, decorating the family home with handmade decorations I’d spent weeks preparing in secret, and leaving parcels of spooky sweets I’d bought with my pocket money outside everyone’s bedroom doors. Spreading seasonal magic and joy, maximising the memory making and finding magic in the mundane has always been my thing. Motherhood has only amplified that!

Nothing brings me more joy than creating seasonal fun and holiday magic for my family. From celebration baskets to themed snacks, coordinated outfits to occasions bins, seasonal days out to home made crafts… I love doing it all.

When we’re not turning up the magic at home, we love to get out and about. Whilst we are based in Buckinghamshire, we are avid explorers of local National Trust sites, hidden gems in the home counties and travelling to new places. We’re also on our third attempt of the 1000 hours outside challenge in a bid to minimise our screentime. Of course, we love to document it all for you too!

And whilst I’m trying to ‘find my pink’, I’ve recently dipped back into one of my other passions – radio. I present The Fun Forecast on Trend Radio, every Friday from 4-6pm. You can expect a roundup of family activities for the weekend, answering parenting problems and sharing ideas for magical memory making! The mum behind the magic… before motherhood!

I’ve been blogging and creating content online since 2014 under ‘Love from, Florence Grace’. Initially starting out as a self love and body confidence influencer, you may have heard me on BBC Radio 1, seen me in The Metro or in The Telegraph discussing these topics. You may even know me from my radio presenter days at Blink FM or on Reprezent Radio with Munya Chawawa.

I then veered away from Florence Grace and settled into the comfier online handle of Going With The Flo whilst I tried to navigate who I was and who I wanted to be in motherhood, but it still didn’t feel quite right. Now, I’ve found my glass slipper – it fits perfectly! The Mum Behind The Magic.

I’m all about life as a mum, because that’s the season of life I’m in now! I documented the third trimester of my first pregnancy, my birth and the fourth trimester for Emma Willis: Delivering Babies in a Pandemic. I have also been featured in The Metro and LadBible to discuss parenting as a first time mum in a global pandemic. Nope, I’ll never stop talking about it because it was truly a life-changing experience!
